A sequel to the zombie-like apocalypse hit game looks like it's on it's way after a games maker accidentally confirmed it.
Naughty Dog writer Josh Scherr talked about "the first Last of Us" in a slip of the tongue.
And it's sent the web into meltdown as fans clamour for a sequel to one of the Playstation's greatest ever games.
The error came During a live stream chat about the upcoming Nathan Drake Collection.
During the Uncharted remake stream featuring community strategist Eric Monacelli, Scherr and lead animator Eric Baldwin, the writer seemed to all but confirm a second Last of Us game is indeed on the way.
He said: "All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here,
"And [on] the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?”
Scherr then became flustered, repeating himself several times and tripping over his words, like he realised he'd slipped up.
It's not an official confirmation, and it's possible he's referring to the original game rather than the Left Behind expansion.
But experts at gaming website IGN reckon "this seems unlikely".
Earlier this year voice actor Nolan North claimed a sequel to the third-person adventure games is being worked on.
And developers have admitted to kicking round ideas for a sequel.
But work is currently focused on March's release of Uncharted 4 regardless.
