BIKE racing fans are getting a new road speedster on the PlayStation 4
Driveclub Bikes is out right now in a surprise announcement from Playstation's reveal event at Paris Games Week.
Bikes will be released as an expansion for DriveClub (£12.99) or as a standalone game (£14.99), and is available to download from PlayStation Store today.
It features fast-paced racing action in the slick Driveclub universe but focusing on two wheeled machines for the first time rather than cars.
The game was leaked earlier today when a thumbnail for the unannounced title was posted on the PlayStation Europe Flickr account, pointing toward an official reveal at Paris.
Driveclub got top marks from us last year for its amazing graphics and gameplay.
However post-launch it had untold problems with its online racing, causing huge delays to a promised free version that has only recently gone live on PS Plus accounts.
Let's hope Driveclub Bikes has a smoother launch as people start snapping it up today.
A spokesman for developer Evolution said: "We’re massive racing fans at Evolution and we love the challenge and the thrill of superbike racing, but we’ve always wanted to make them more approachable and fun, whilst still retaining the depth of control and authenticity you’d expect from us.
"With Driveclub Bikes we think we’ve accomplished that, so that everyone can enjoy riding these breath-taking superbikes.
"The incredible speed and superb agility of high-performance superbikes offers a completely new way to race, and as always with Driveclub, there’s a lot to play for, whether you ride offline or online with your club."
