SEGA and Relic Entertainment have announced what many already knew was coming with a brand new reveal trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3.
The Dawn of War series is based on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniature wargame first produced by Games Workshop in 1987.
In a post on the official website, the team told fans to get ready for "the biggest Dawn of War yet."
Here's the games official description: "In Dawn of War III you will have no choice but to face your foes when a catastrophic weapon is found on the mysterious world of Acheron.
"With war raging and the planet under siege by the armies of greedy Ork warlord Gorgutz, ambitious Eldar seer Macha, and mighty Space Marine commander Gabriel Angelos, supremacy must ultimately be suspended for survival."
Speaking about the exciting new release, executive producer Stephen MacDonald said: "This is the Dawn of War that fans have been waiting for. Our biggest units ever? Check. Giant orbital lasers? Check. Base-building, epic heroes, huge battles, it's all in there. Get ready for the biggest Dawn of War yet. For the Emperor!"
Though we're yet to see any actual gameplay it seems as though this latest outing will borrow from the best bits of both Dawn of War 1 and Dawn of War 2.
Combining a little bit of traditional real time strategy and base-building with the sequal's flavour of micro-managing of huge powerful units.
The game is the third in the series and comes seven years after the last release of Dawn of War 2.
Dawn of War 2 was published by previous Relic-owner THQ, but following THQ going bust the series was picked up by Sega and although they released a couple of expansions, this will be the first full game produced entirely by Sega.
It's expected that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 will release on PC in 2017.
