ROVIO have unveiled their latest Angry Birds game to the world with an all-new pinball-inspired 3D game and unprecedented digital-physical integration
Rovio have unveiled their latest Angry Birds game to the world with an all-new free-to-play, pinball-inspired 3D game.
According to the developers of one of the best selling mobile games in the world, this new experience will be "the focal point for a whole new kind of 360 entertainment experience that Rovio is orchestrating together with its partners."
If none of that makes sense, then what they mean to say is that the game will also have means of working in the real world, on top of being another addictive game on your mobile
"In the latest Angry Birds symphony of destruction, leader of the flock Red smashes and crashes through obstacles and bounces from wall to wall like a wrecking ball," reads a Rovio description of the game.
"This is all in the name, of course, of saving precious and fragile eggs.
"Along the way, players unlock exclusive additional content by going to see The Angry Birds Movie on opening weekend, and also play augmented-reality mini-games and earn new rewards by scanning special BirdCodes located out in the real world."
Central to the new game are these "BirdCodes", which Rovio say will be dotted around the world - all 1 billion of them.
They can be found on products created in conjunction with Rovio’s global partners, which includes the likes of LEGO, H&M and McDonald’s.
When scanned with the Angry Birds Action! app, BirdCodes will be unlocked granting players additional power-ups and digital content.
