a sequel to Wolfenstein
FALLOUT 4 and DOOM creators Bethesda are plotting a return for action RPG Skyrim as well as several more popular sequels which will be unveiled at E3.
A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One remaster of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is rumoured to be on the cards according to a new report by Eurogamer.
The well established site reports that Bethesda's E3 conference, which takes place this Sunday, will unveil a fully fledged remaster for the popular action RPG that was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.
The info first originated from reputable industry insider Shinobi602, as well as another apparent insider posting on NeoGAF as Enter the Dragon Punch.
Shinobi mentioned "a remaster of sorts ... for something" during an H.A.M. Radio podcast while the Neogaf user backed up these claims and also stated that the game would contain "mods, all DLC [and] improved visuals".
In addition to this, Eurogamer also believe that Bethesda are planning a return for Prey 2, a cancelled first-person shooter with a huge focus on a bounty hunter roaming the galaxy picking off Aliens on the run.
However, Eurogamer believe this new version of the game will be somewhat different to the game initially shown off five years ago:
"Prey 2 is thought to be completely different to the Human Head-developed Prey 2 we previewed in 2011. It's believed to have been built anew by the relatively new Austin, Texas arm of Dishonored developer Arkane...Bethesda said in 2014 that the game had been cancelled."
Lastly Eurogamer suggested that two Bethesda owner properties in Wolfenstein and The Evil Within could also be set for sequels after both debuting to commercial and critical success.
"Wolfenstein: New Order 2 we caught a whiff of when the voice actor of a key character in the first game said she was working on a second game in the series." writes Robert Purchese from Eurogamer.
This is all on top of Bethesda's full gameplay reveal for Dishonored 2 during their E3 press conference, which is expected to release this year on 11th November.
