is now on PS4
ROCKSTAR GAMES has re-released their incredible PlayStation 2 brawler The Warriors on the PS4.
Rockstar Games has added another PS2 classic on PlayStation 4.
The 3D brawler is based on the iconic 1979 movie of the same name and was originally launched on PS2 and Xbox way back in 2005.
This latest HD update to the game can now be downloaded on PS4 for a modest £11.99, and includes support for a 1080p resolution, Shareplay, Remote Play, Activity Feeds and Second Screen support for game manuals with PS Vita or PS App.
There's also trophy support, but there's no Platinum and the one Gold Trophy, King of Coney Island only asks that you to reach 100% completion on any difficulty.
"New York, 1979. A battle on the streets," reads the game's description.
"The armies of the night number 60,000 strong, and tonight they’re all after The Warriors – a street gang wrongly accused of killing a rival gang leader. The Warriors must make their way from one end of New York to their turf on the other side of the city.
"All that stands between The Warriors and their survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members."
The news came on the same day as Rockstar annouced that Red Dead Redemption is coming to Xbox's backwards compatibility program this Friday.
A press release from Rockstar reads: "Starting on Friday, every Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 owner will be able to play the game directly on their Xbox One, regardless of which version of the game they own (Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition).
"And for those who have yet to experience it, the game will be available to purchase on Friday from the Games Store on Xbox One."
The game had mistakenly joined Microsoft's library of backwards compatible games earlier this year.
The Xbox team later clarified that this was simply part of a test and only intended for internal purposes as there was no plans for it to launch to the wider public.
