we believe we have the best and most helpful Computer Graphics (CG) community on the internet. This is due in no small part to our amazing members who make our community the place for CG-related answers on the internet. We wish to keep this community as a place where everyone feels welcome to share CG-related knowledge so that we can all grow to become better artists together. In order to ensure this is possible, we want to lay down some ground rules so that all of our members know what cannot be tolerated. If you notice anyone breaking any of these rules or have any questions, please contact one of our Moderators immediately.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Be Nice
1. Avoid being discouraging to other members. Remember that everyone was new to CG at some point. Due to the inability to see things like body movement and tone of voice, many things that are posted can be easily misconstrued to a different meaning than originally intended. For this purpose, it’s best to keep all posts positive and upbeat at all times. If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. We aggressively enforce this rule.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
No Spam
2. Spam on this forum is any post or thread that has nothing to do with the CG industry. If you see think you see spam, please contact one of our Moderators.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Examples of posts that would be considered spam would be any posts relating to political or religious issues, sales or advertisements. This counts for CG-related advertisements, too!
No Rude or Offensive Language, Imagery or Signatures
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Avoid posting using any derogatory terms, swearing (including attempting to mask the swearing with asterisks) or unkind remarks against any software.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. This includes all imagery that could be seen as derogatory, has swearing, or is pornographic. If you are posting something artistic in nature that includes adult content (for example, a nude model), please make sure the title of your thread clearly indicates the nature of the content. We have many members who are viewing our community from corporate networks who may have restrictions on what imagery may be viewed. So please respect their rules by allowing users to know what sort of imagery will automatically be downloaded by the browser when they open the thread.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. All the rules for rude or offensive language and imagery apply to signatures.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
No Illegal Behavior
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. We have no tolerance for any talk of illegal behavior on these forums, including talk of pirating,
cracking software or anything else.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Posts that include any form of illegal behavior will be removed and the poster will be banned.
