AMERICAN ratings board ESRB has seemingly confirmed what everyone knew: A definitive Bioshock Collection is headed our way with all three games included.
According to an ESRB rating, BioShock: The Collection will include all three BioShock games and be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The American ratings board states that the game is "a collection of three first-person shooters in which players assume the role of characters uncovering the mysteries behind the dystopian societies of Rapture and Columbia."
The game itself has still yet to be officially announced by 2K but everyone seems to have accepted that this ultimate compilation is headed our way.
That's because so far the game had experienced three separate leaks before this latest intel breach in the last six months.
First the game appeared on a South African retailer's website last September.
Then details of the game appeared on the Brazilian classifications board.
Shortly following that the news the game then appeared on the Taiwanese ratings board, also giving us our first official glimpse at the games box art.
And now we've been given official confirmation by the ESRB that the collection includes all three previously released BioShock games.
Which shouldn't come as too much of a shock as 2K Games has history of porting their best sellers to Next-Gen.
Not so long ago they released a remastered version of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for next-gen consoles having previously only released the games on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Earlier this year on Twitter, 2K UK hinted at a possible return for the Bioshock series while also taking the opportunity to wish their fans a happy new year:
"Back to work and back to Rapture!" it said. "Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year! Here's to a great 2016!"
It was also accompanied by a picture of Bioshock's underwater world Rapture (below).
This lead to many fans of the franchise suspecting that the company might be planning a follow up to the game later this year.
However, 2K UK denied the report of a new Bioshock game coming in 2016, almost as quickly as the stories had sprung up this morning:
"Afraid not folks. Was the only image we had that said Happy New Year in it! Happy Monday!"
The Bioshock Collection could end up being one of the many exciting announcements from Take-Two interactive at E3 later this year.
Speaking in a recent issue of gaming trade publication MCV, CEO Strauss Zelnick of Take-Two Interactive said the company will definitely be attending E3.
In fact, he went as far to tease readers by saying that Take-Two "Will be there [E3 2016] in a big way".
Unfortunately, Zelnick stopped short of confirming any specifics of what the company plans to showcase at the Expo.
As mentioned we would suspect that they'll announce the Bioshock Collection.
They could even announce some news of a new "bigger" and "crazier" Borderlands games.
But many gamers will be hoping Zelnick was being guarded because of potential plans to roll out a sequel to Red Dead Redemption, or possibly some single-player DLC for GTA V.
For the past few months rumours of a Red Dead Redemption sequel have being growing louder and louder.
You might even argue that the recent backwards compatible leak of the original game, could be Xbox prepping themselves for a new title, since most releases these days seem to give away the original as a pre-order bonus.
Equally, there's been no shortage of rumours about some single-player DLC for GTA V.
The only thing that seems clear, is that we're going to have to wait until June 14 when E3 2016 kicks off.
