ROCKSTAR'S widely rumoured Red Dead sequel might have been leaked by the same designer at the centre of the leaked God of War 4 concept art.
Earlier this morning a boatload of images were leaked, potentially for a brand new God of War game.
Sony has not officially announced a new God of War yet, but back in December 2014, Sony Santa Monica's Creative Director Cory Barlog admitted a new God of War game was in early development and he hoped to share more within two years.
The images came from the website portfolio of a former Sony Santa Monica concept artist called Finnian Macmanus.
And since the leak, both Macmanus website and Linkedin profile have both vanished from the internet, fuelling many to believe that the leak was genuine.
But in the chaos of everyone going crazy over the possibility of a brand new God of War game, one Neogaf forum member made a very interesting discovery before the website was pulled.
Also tucked away on Macmanus' website was a project called Descend.
The concept artist describes the project, which started this February as "exploring the American frontier and 'Wild West'"
And given the sheer volume of rumours of a new Red Dead game heading our way, it's possible that these could be our first look at Red Dead Redemption follow up.
For those wondering, there's still no word on the highly requested Skate 3 or Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption.
The latter of which was accidentally made available on the Xbox Store before being inexplicably pulled a few months ago.
Following that little mistake
"Microsoft tests all Xbox 360 games with our emulator to ensure a quality experience across a breadth of titles," he explained. "Due to an error some of the games currently in test were accidentally made available."
The blunder also saw some other titles appear as playable on the Xbox One, including Castlevania: SoTN (which was recently added to the backwards compatibility list) as well as Tekken Tag Tournament 2 which was added last week.
"We have since removed access to those games," Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb said on Reddit, "and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We will have more information on upcoming releases soon."
Despite all of this just being hearsay for the time being, the sheer volume of rumours surrounding this hotly anticipated sequel definitely suggests that something is in the works at Rockstar.
Couple this with the fact that the original Red Dead Redemption was accidentally made available as backwards compatible on Xbox One earlier this year, has lead many to believe that a follow, or at the least a HD rerelease is on the cards for 2016.
And that's all before you factor in Take-Two Interactive's CEO Strauss Zelnick (who own Rockstar) confirming that the company "Will be there [E3 2016] in a big way."
For now though, we'll all just have to wait patiently until E3 in a few months time to find out exactly whats going on.
