but ps4 will have to wait
XBOX One owners can look forward to revisiting the N64 first-person shooter Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil in the near future.
Remember Turok? The dinosaur hunting Nintendo 64 first-person shooter. Well it's making a return to consoles - or more specifically, Xbox.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it focused on Native American time-traveling warrior, Turok, who's charged with protecting the barrier between Earth and the Lost Land, a primitive world overrun with dinosaurs and aliens.
Essentially it was the run-and-gun fun of DOOM, but with demons swapped out for dinosaurs and tight corridors substituted for large open spaces.
Night Dive Studios confirmed the news on Twitter when asked if they had any plans to launch the classic '90s games to modern consoles and in response the studio revealed that both Turok 1 & 2 are coming to "Xbox," which we'll assume means Xbox One.
Unfortunately PS4 owners will have to wait if they want to get in on the action.
Although Night Dive Studio's came across pretty confident in their assertion that the game was coming to Xbox, the studio was a bit more reserved when asked about PS4.
Having made the announcement on Twitter, one user asked whether the game would be available on PS4.
In response Night Dive Studio's Twitter feed said: "We're evaluating other platforms but can't confirm at this time."
Which seems like a pretty resounding "no", at least for the time being.
It's also worth noting that Night Dive Studio's failed to provide a release date.
However, considering that the studio has already produced remastered versions of both Turok 1 and 2 for the PC, we very much doubt you'll have to wait that long for the game to be ported to Xbox One.
