Hot on the heels of Xbox's most recent software update unveiled at the tail end of March, Sony yesterday announced that the next major system software update for the PS4, version 3.50 (codenamed MUSASHI), rolling out today.
Some of these new features were previously tested during last months beta test.

According to Sony the version 3.50 of the PlayStation App now has the following new features:
User Scheduled Event - Users can schedule gameplay sessions with friends

While we've got you, it's worth mentioning that April's selection of free PlayStation Plus games can now be downloaded.
For the sake of anyone who hasn't opted into Sony's incredible PlayStation Plus service at the dirt cheap price of £3.33 a month, here's what you get:
• Access to online multiplayer on your PlayStation 4
• Exclusive discounts at PlayStation Store
• Share Play - so your friends can play your games even if they don't own a copy themselves

More important than any of that however is the fact Sony give away 24 PS4 games a year, completely free. And on top of that, a whole host of PS3 and PS Vita games as well, just to sweeten the deal.
So, when you think about it, signing up to PlayStation Plus is a bit of a no brainer, really.
This month there's a fantastic varied collection of games on offer, with the pick of the bunch being Ubisoft's survival-horror FPS, packed to the brim with zombies and set against the city of London.
In April PlayStation Plus members will be able to download the following games at no extra cost:
Available on PlayStation 4
• Dead Star
• Zombi
Available on PlayStation 3
• I Am Alive
• The Last Guy
