SQUARE ENIX has released a brand new explosive trailer for the once delayed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and it now looks as though it's been worth the wait.
It's been Five years since the wildly successful release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
And it's fair to say that we're due another action-packed adventure with Adam Jensen in the cyberpunk themed RPG full of stealth, shooting and conspiracy.
By all accounts we should be playing that game right now, as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided‘s original release date was February 2016.
However despite looking pretty special at E3 last year, Eidos Montreal decided to delay the project by six months to bring the game up to the high standards it expected for what they said was a “huge project".
Eidos explained that they wouldn't “compromise on quality” and judging from the trailer release today (below), it looks like extra time has been worth it.
In the new trailer, we follow our Deus Ex main man Adam Jensen, now an experienced counterterrorism agent of Task Force 29 attempting to ensure the events of the past won’t repeat themselves.
Narrated by Adam Jensen, this trailer takes the form of a short investigation, showcasing brand new footage of Adam’s apartment and new locations in Europe, including Prague.
We also learn a lot more about how the former Sarif Industries Head of Security has improved his cybernetic augmentations, enhancing his infiltration, combat, and hacking capabilities within the game.
In addition there's some more clues about the games storyline, with a few hints at the return for some old acquaintances.
"The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society," explains Eidos Montreal.
"Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind.
"Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy."
