IT'S been over 13 years since we last saw him on the big screen but Austin Powers could be back with another shagadelic adventure. Jay Roach, who directed the first three films, suggested that we hadn't seen the last of Austin and his hilarious gang. The movie maker appeared on Larry King Now where talk quickly turned to the spoof spy films. Jay told Larry: "You know, we [Mike Myers and I] talk about it every time we get together." Yeah baby! He continued: "I would say it's in a latent phase right now but someday if we find the right idea that seems to have it earn itself, for sure." Mike is famous for playing several characters in the hit franchise. As well as our leading man, he's also the genius behind Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Gold Member. The director also suggested that he and Mike were still on very good terms. "Mike gave me the break of a lifetime by letting me direct Austin 1, so I'm always good to go." When asked if he had any ideas what the fourth film could be about, Jay said he wasn't sure: "It's been many years of kicking around and we've had so many, but there's been no one that's kind of stuck yet." Let's hope they find their mojo soon. Fans are no doubt hoping the pair will come up with something in time for the first film's 20th anniversary. The first film, International Man of Mystery, burst onto screens in 1997 and became a cultural phenomenon. Attachments:
