JAMIE Bell has reportedly had chats with James Bond producers about replacing Daniel Craig. It was reported last week that Craig had apparently stepped away from the iconic role after four turns as Bond. And while it was thought likely that Tom Hiddleston would be the next 007, there might be another choice. Idris Elba and Aidan Turner have both been rumoured, too. But now Billy Elliot's Jamie Bell has reportedly had informal chats with movie producers about him taking the role in the franchise. The 30-year-old is said to have impressed Bond bigwig Barbara Broccoli, 55, who is working on new movie Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool. "Barbara has been a fan of Jamie for a long time and has even thought about him playing another role in the franchise before," an unnamed They continued: "Everyone remembers Jamie as the little boy in Billy Elliot, but he's now bulked up and got some serious roles under his belt. "Tom Hiddleston and Aidan Turner are still in the frame, but Jamie has really shown that he is definitely up there competition with them." The actor, who is dating Fantastic Four co-star Kate Mara, has had some experience in action movies. The Billingham-born star recently finished filming 6 Days, in which he plays an elite SAS soldier leading the storming of the Iranian Embassy after it is taken over by gunmen in the 1980s. And he will work with Broccoli in her latest film as lead Peter Turner, a British actor who had a passionate relationship with Gloria Grahame. Attachments:
